Ryan worked his tail off to try and make our trip amazing. We had a tough bite but, that did not discourage him or our group. Ryan got us on the fish even after the peak feeding time. We were even boarded by the Coast Guard and Ryan and the boat passed with flying colors. You can be assured that the Hot Pursuit operation is safe and well runned and will do every thing possible to make it a memorable experience. If you are wanting to fish on Lake Michigan out of Sheboygan I would highly recommend Hot Pursuit Salmon & Trout Charters.

We had a fantastic experience with Captain Ryan and First Mate Brennan. They were quick to respond to messages, honest about current fishing conditions, and extremely knowledgeable about where and how to find fish. Their communication and professionalism made the entire trip easy and enjoyable. Although the fishing had been slow for most boats in the days leading up to our trip, they worked hard and put us on some quality fish. Beyond their expertise, they were simply great people to spend the day with on the water. We had a great time and will definitely be booking another trip in the future. Highly recommended!

Captain Ryan was outstanding and worked hard all day to keep us on fish. His dedication paid off in a big way when my son landed a trophy Lake Trout weighing 24.5 pounds, measuring 38 inches long with a 21-inch girth. It was an incredible fish and a memory we'll never forget. In addition to the trophy Lake Trout, we also caught several beautiful King Salmon and enjoyed steady action throughout the trip. The experience was so much fun that we immediately booked another trip later this week. If you're considering a fishing charter, I highly recommend Captain Ryan. Ryan and Brendan were both outstanding. They were professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the trip. Brendan's experience and knowledge were impressive, especially considering his age. When the bite slowed down due to heavy fishing pressure over the weekend, Ryan quickly adjusted the plan and moved us into deeper water. His decision paid off, and we finished the day with an exciting burst of action and some great fish. We had a fantastic time on the water and appreciated the effort they put into making the trip successful. We'll definitely be back for another trip. Thanks again, Ryan and Brendan!

I had an excellent time on the water with Captain Ryan. We caught our limit and enjoyed a productive day of fishing from start to finish. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and all of the gear was top-notch. Ryan was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip both enjoyable and successful. Captain Ryan was fantastic! His knowledge and experience put us right on some impressive Brown Trout, and the action didn’t take long to start. We highly recommend Hot Pursuit Salmon and Trout Charters to anyone looking for a fun and productive day on the water. Our group of four fished with Captain Ryan in late March aboard his smaller boat, which allowed us to stay closer to shore where the Brown Trout bite was strong. His strategy paid off, and we enjoyed steady fishing throughout the trip. Captain Ryan also operates a larger boat for spring and summer trips, offering opportunities to target King Salmon, Steelhead, and Coho Salmon. We’re already looking forward to coming back later in the season. A big thank you to Captain Ryan for creating such a memorable experience for my father, myself, my son, and his friend. It was a day we’ll be talking about for a long time.

Went out for the afternoon trip on Aug 14th. It was a perfect day. Our captain Ryan had great communication throughout the whole process. He got our group of 5 all loaded up and took us out where he thought we could get some troudt. He was very aware of what water temperature should be and where they would be biting. We did pull in 3 smaller King Salmon. Was very good at keeping a lot of lines in and watching them and making changes as needed. He decided to take us in closer to try and catch some larger ones. Continued to make necessary changes in depths, and after a little while, they started biting. He did a great job telling us exactly what to do to not lose it and "we listened" We ended up catching 5 very nice King Salmon and 1 nice Coho Salmon. Total 9 for the day. Captain Ryan did not give up and made sure we got some fish. We all had a great time. Thank you for a awesome experience. We couldnt be more pleased. We will definitely be doing this again with Ryan.

My 2 sons (12 &14) and I took an 6 hr evening charter with Captain Ryan on 8/11/25. We left port near 3PM and got out to a fishing spot and within 15 mins of fishing, we pulled in a large lake trout. The crew was experienced, professional, and worked hard to find and keep us on the fish. We ended up landing 9 king salmon and one lake trout, we released one smaller king (we lost 3-4 fish). We had a blast and learned a bit about fishing for bigger fish. At one point we had two fish hooked at the same time, and my sons had a blast pulling them in. This trip exceeded my expectations in every way, Thanks Captain Ryan! We will be back for more.

We had a great evening out on Lake Michigan With captain Ryan and his first mate Shawn. Everything went smoothly. They took us out to our spot, they put out several different setups and we were fishing. Things were steady fishing and we caught some nice fish thanks to the knowledge and equipment Ryan had on his boat. They set up for different species so your chances are good to catch a variety of fish. The boat was very clean, and set up nicely. We fished for our entire time even through the little rain we got. They did a great job of getting our fish cleaned up at the end of the night. Would Definitely recommend Ryan With Hot Pursuit Charters!

I've fished in Sheboygan multiple times with both big-name and smaller charters, but Ryan and First Mate Chris went above and beyond anything we've experienced before. They worked incredibly hard to give our group a great time and put fish in the boat, even under less-than-ideal conditions. Despite the challenges, they stayed committed and we ended up filling the boat. These guys are true fishermen. We're already planning to come back from North Dakota—and might even make this an annual trip.

Me and my buddy had an absolute Blast..!!! The boat was super fast.. and had all the latest downriggers..and tech equipment..and state of the art Sonor.. I was super impress with how well the boat was equipped..Even though you’ve got all of the latest equipment you have to still have a super knowledgeable Captain..that knows what he is doing.. and let me tell you.. Ryan definitely fits the bill..!!! We did a 4pm to 9pm (cause Ryan said the Kings were biting more around sunset..) During first 3 hours.. we only caught a tiny trout.. so Ryan and his first mate. We’re constantly changing out different “flashers” (colorful spoons on the end of the lines.. to attract the fish.) and changing the depths of the down riggers..and setting and re-setting up poles..You could tell that Ryan and his mate.. were NOT going to give up..finally the sun was finally going down.. and we switched out to the “glow in the dark”flashers.. and headed to shallower water..and just like Ryan had hoped.. THE KINGS..WERE THERE...!!! You could see them clearly on the big sonar screen.. after about 10 minutes trolling thru with the glow flashers..BAM!. we got our first hit.. and then another.. BAM! ..and another..BAM..!! we had 3 Kings on at...one time!!! our excitement was through the roof..!!!! You could tell that Ryan was super excited for us.. that we got the chance to reel in a couple of really nice Kings.. Thanks to Ryan’s knowledge, skill, and tenacity we actually were able to catch.. 6 really nice fish.. literally in the last 30 minutes.. of our trip.. Thanks Ryan.. for wanting us to catch some , nice Kings.. so badly..and thanks for never giving up..!!! I can tell, that you really love what you do..!! I would definitely be chartering with you.. again.. In the future..!! Thanks Ryan..!!
